Béret de sang bleu - Blue blood beret

 I had seen a photo I quite liked from a photographer on Instagram (Namely @nadineijewere) and I had been interested in trying out oil pastels. The two came naturally together and I managed to make this artwork in 3 hours. I was impressed by the speed of execution this medium granted, but details had to suffer in the process. Today I don’t prefer oil pastels, but I don’t mind using them, as they’re really a blast to work with on a tactile level! It was done on 300 g. rough Fabriano artistico paper with Sennelier’s oil pastels.
