My interest in art started as an interest in the craftsmanship of everyday object. From a young age I wanted to decorate and make objects, I was always looking for an opportunity to find something that needed improvement or to find a situation that could use some crafting! I explored leatherworking, drawing, basic woodworking, altering collectible playing cards and other crafts amongst many interests. My passion for art was always present, as it was stoked by the support of my parents which I am still grateful for, in the form of school orientation, classes, art materials and so forth. It became more important in my life when I started working at an art supply store, where I saw what was possible and how I could achieve it. Working with artists and framers really helped me discover the art world as I never could have alone. I went in the deep end and started to make my art materials as well as teaching myself traditional methods, contemporary sensibility in art and art material science. I learned a great deal from seeing others, either online or near me, and I learned another great deal by being able to practice, with abundant art resources available to me. Now, as an artist and industrial design student, my passion for making, be it the process, method, materials, or results has grown stronger than ever. I decided that I wanted to share with you my process, progress, and products for your enjoyment! That’s where I currently lie in my crafted path, and I hope to cross path with people engaging in the works I do!
